This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team in times of great change.<br /><br />As Data Analyst in DM&Q you play a key role in understanding our business and its data as well as to manage and improve data quality in business critical areas such as financial reporting<br />Your primary role will be to analyse and administrate critical data processes/requirements and its supporting applications. You will also contribute in the areas of data architecture/solution design, Data Policy, Data Governance and a Framework for assessing Data Quality. <br /><strong><br />Your responsibilities: </strong><br />Responsibilities include <br /><ul> <li>Process analysis, Data analysis and data requirements gathering in projects and “business-as-usual” e.g. related to data problems or incidents </li> <li>Acting as coach for the business areas in Data quality related issues to identify, propose and secure execution of improvements to data processes and applications </li> <li>Setting up processes for and perform Data Quality assessment </li> <li>Defining financial control frameworks as required and secure implementation of related controls </li> <li>Monitoring transformation of changes and set up of “business-as-usual” support </li> <li>Being system responsible for related reporting solutions (SAS/Excel) primarily towards the Nordic Actuary function </li></ul><strong>Your profile: </strong><br />To be successful in this role you stand with one leg firm in the process/data side of the business and the other in IT. A strong and proven business understanding from the financial sector is essential, as well as a proven track record from working in the field of process and data quality. The Data Analyst role also requires strong technical knowledge within related technologies primarily SAS and data warehousing.<br /><br />The ideal candidate for this position has an academic background within mathematics, engineering, IT or another relevant area. You are an experiences data management professional with 5-10 years working experience within the financial services industry – for example from an accounting/auditing role, an analyst role or a consulting role. It is crucial that you have strong experience from participating in complex IT projects. <br /><br />In addition we expect that you have:<br /><ul> <li>Experience from working with development in data intensive roles </li> <li>The ability to excel in bridging the gap between the business needs, data requirements and solutions </li> <li>Proven experience in Data quality analysis </li> <li>Solid experience with data requirement analysis, structuring, modelling and data governance, including meta data </li> <li>Strong SAS developer skills </li> <li>A good understanding of financial data flows and processes in practice and theory and the ability to couple this with technical data concepts.
